Our Story
Ann's Way began in early 2020, in honor of Ann Jackson, a long-time resident of Brandon, MS, who had recently passed away. I spoke with her family about how much she meant to me in my life and career. I found out that one of her passions was helping the needy and, volunteering at The Opportunity Center in Jackson, MS. This organization allows people to take showers, wash clothes, store belongings, and receive mail. What was so inspiring about The Opportunity Center was their support of the less fortunate in their transition to a better life. Clients of The Opportunity Center are provided with food, shelter, and resources necessary to assist them in acquiring stable jobs and housing. In essence, it is a place for people to be able to transition from being homeless to independent living. After visiting The Opportunity Center, I realize the need for an organization that focuses on these endeavors and continues Ann's passion for helping others.
